EL SEGUNDO, CA – September 21, 2009 – NC4, Inc., the leader in Situational Readiness solutions for incident monitoring, crisis management, and secure collaboration, today announced ActivTravel™, NC4’s travel risk management offering that combines intelligence on global all-hazards incidents with detailed employee travel data, to heighten an organization’s overall situational awareness and readiness to respond to risks. ActivTravel is the result of a successful technological integration of NC4’s External Situational Awareness (ESA) service with TranSecur’s Global Security Information (GSI) service and Traveler Management Service.
ActivTravel combines the capabilities of both NC4 and TranSecur, giving customers the ability to be notified of incidents that may affect the safety and security of corporate travelers. With the ability to link directly to real-time traveler information from the ESA map, travelers can be located at any time based on their flight, ground transportation or hotel itineraries. Along with the incident icons displayed on the ESA map, ActivTravel displays traveler icons so members can instantly see locations around the world where they have active or pending travelers in relation to an unfolding incident. They can then drill down to itinerary details, determine if any of those travelers are in harm’s way and communicate with the affected travelers.
